Hottub are currently signed with record label LeHeat. Their debut EP album "On Blast" is composed of four songs "M.A.N.B.I.T.C.H.", "123GO", "Fifteen", and "Superfriction."
"M.A.N.B.I.T.C.H." comes at you hard and raw with lyrics from the ladies that are crude and in your face. "123GO" starts off with a fresh bass beat and rolls right into a fast paced funk sound that makes you want to get up and dance. "Superfriction" has a vibe like it came straight out of the 80's break-dance movie "Breakin" and is probably one of the best rapping songs the ladies laid down on the album. "Fifteen" is the slowest song on the album and is pumped full of lyrics about teenage life with sexuality.
Hottub is known for its onstage antics that include stage diving, crowd interaction, the occasional fan groping, spitting water into the crowd, and also the ladies spitting beer into each other's mouths. The ladies also like to get members of the crowd up on stage and dance along with them while they perform their songs. With the combination of their stage performance and hot lyrical flows with funky beats, Hottub is definitely a band to see live.
Hottub is currently on tour with the indie band The Ting Ting's and is making its way across the states. You can check them out on MySpace and also catch some of their shows on YouTube. I give the Hottub's EP album "On Blast" 3 out of 5 stars and look forward to their full LP album.
