"Dating in the Dark": Is love blind? ABC is about to find out. July 20 at 10 p.m. "Dating in the Dark" will place three single men and three single women into a house together. The catch is they are only allowed to interact with the opposite sex in a dark room. The goal is to get to know each other without involving appearance. In the end the participants must choose one person they want to see in the light. That is when they must make the decision if looks really matter, and if they want to continue seeing this person they have bonded with in the darkness.
"The Goode Family": Move over Simpsons, take a hike Family Guy, There's a new family on the screen; ABC is introducing a new animated family on May 27, The Goode Family. This Green Family, Gerald (voiced by Mike Judge) and Helen (voiced by Nancy Carell) Goode, try their best to be "good" environmentally and politically correct people. They are vegan, hybrid driving, recycling…screw ups. No matter how much they try to do the right thing, their life provides laughable moments for viewers. The show is created and produced by "King of the Hill" alumni Mike Judge, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky.
"The Bachelorette": ABC has a new bachelorette, who must choose from a group of eligible, hunky men who are all dying for her affection. This season's bachelorette, Jillian Harris, was rejected by last season's bachelor, Jason Mesnick. "The Bachelorette" will open with a two-hour special on May 18 at 9 p.m. and then appear regularly at 8 p.m. starting on May 25 for hour long episodes. The show is hosted by Chris Harrison and produced by Next Entertainment.
Other shows to watch for: "The Cougar" on TV Land PRIME at 10 p.m., "United States of Tara" on ShowTime at 10 p.m., "The Listener" on NBC at 10 p.m.
