Last semester construction began on the new disc golf course at Lake Land College. On Sept. 10, students will finally be able to enjoy the course at the grand opening and disc golf tournament sponsored by SAB and SGA.

Sign up for the tournament will be in the Student Life Office, and participants will receive a list of rules attached to their sign up sheet. Rules will also be posted at the start of the course for player convenience. The winner will receive a prize.

Lori Morrissette, Director of Student Life, hopes students will be encouraged to use the course after this tournament.

The course is on the south side of campus, starting at the Vocational Technology building and going clockwise. There are nine holes. Each hole has a par three, except for hole eight which is par four.

"Anyone can use the course," adds Morrissette.

Discs can be rented at the Student Fitness Center in exchange for you student ID. Your ID will be given back to you upon return of the disc.

Even if you are not the best golfer or Frisbee player, give the disc golf course a chance. Lori thinks the game is, "a lot of fun," and it is, "easier than (she) thought."
